What Happens the Moment You Place an Order?
Subtitle: A customer’s guide to how your product is made, checked, and delivered.
When your child’s little book light flickers to life for the first time, you’re not just seeing light. You’re seeing the result of dozens of precise manufacturing steps.
At Huiren , we specialize in low-voltage reading lights — from portable reading lights to table lamps, and even DIY lighting kits for kids.
But have you ever wondered how these products are made? Let’s walk you through our manufacturing process, step by step.
Step 1: Material Selection & Incoming Quality Control
Every great product starts with great materials. For low-voltage lights, material choice directly affects safety, durability, and energy efficiency.
We source:
ABS/PC flame-retardant plastics for housings
High-conductivity copper wires for low-voltage circuits
High-CRI LED chips (warm white/cool white/amber, etc)
Rechargeable Li-ion or Ni-MH batteries
All incoming raw materials go through IQC (Incoming Quality Control) — testing for electrical safety, thermal resistance, and RoHS compliance.
Step 2: Injection Molding – Shaping the Housing
The shells of your little book lights are created using precision injection molding machines.
Plastic pellets are melted at 180–240°C.
Molten plastic is injected into steel molds under high pressure.
After cooling, the housings are ejected and trimmed.
For kids’ DIY lamps, we use non-toxic, impact-resistant ABS and soft silicone parts to ensure child safety.
Step 3: PCB Assembly & Soldering – The Heart of the Light
The printed circuit board (PCB) is where low-voltage intelligence lives. For dimming, touch control, light sensors, or battery management — it all happens here.
SMT line (Surface Mount Technology):
- IQC & Material Preparation
- PCB Loading & Solder Paste Printing
- Solder Paste Inspection
- High-Speed Placement
- Fine-Pitch & Odd-Form Placement
- Reflow Soldering in a controlled oven
- AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) to catch any defects
- Rework, Depaneling & Final Inspection
Step 4: Battery Integration
Low-voltage means safety, but battery handling is critical.
Batteries (usually 3.7V Li-ion) are pre-cycled and matched.
Over-charge and over-discharge protection circuits are added.
Battery contacts are spot-welded (not just soldered) for vibration resistance.
Reverse-polarity protection is built-in — because we know users sometimes insert batteries backwards.
Step 5: Manual & Semi-Auto Assembly – Putting It All Together
While many steps are automated, human hands still play a key role:
Adjustable tilt mechanisms are manually assembled.
Each kit is hand-packed with pre-cut wires, screw connectors, and illustrated safety instructions.
Waterproof gaskets and screws are torque-checked if IP44 or IP65 standards.
Each worker follows ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection procedures.
Step 6: Functional Testing – Every Light Must Work
No product leaves without being powered on. Our testing protocols vary by product:
Item | Test |
1 | Battery life test at max brightness, USB charging test |
2 | Tilt angle durability, water spray test (IPX4) |
3 | Light sensor response (day/night simulation), runtime from full charge |
4 | Dimming steps, touch sensitivity (if applicable) |
5 | Low-voltage continuity test (safe even if miswired) |
Step 7: Packaging & Safety Documentation
For low-voltage lighting, packaging isn’t just about looks — it’s about safety and information.
Each box includes:
Product (fully assembled or DIY kit form)
Micro-USB or USB-C charging cable (if rechargeable)
User manual with voltage and current ratings
We use recycled cardboard and minimal plastic inserts wherever possible.
Why Our Manufacturing Process Matters to You
When you choose Huiren, you’re not just getting a light. You’re getting:
✅ Safer low-voltage designs – no shock risk for kids or outdoor use

✅ Consistent quality – each batch is traceable from raw material to final test
Final Thoughts
From a table lamp that welcomes you home at dusk, to a portable reading light that teaches a child how circuits work — every product we make follows a disciplined manufacturing journey.
And that journey doesn’t end at the factory door. It continues in your tent, on your nightstand, or in your child’s hands.
